How to Insert Multiple Rows in Google Sheets?

In Google Sheets, you can insert multiple rows to add new data or to create additional space.

To insert multiple rows above a selected row, follow these steps:

  1. Select the row above which you want to insert the new rows.
  2. Click Insert > Rows.
  3. In the Insert rows dialog box, enter the number of rows you want to insert.
  4. Click Insert.

The new rows will be inserted above the selected row.

To insert multiple rows below a selected row, follow these steps:

  1. Select the row below which you want to insert the new rows.
  2. Click Insert > Rows.
  3. In the Insert rows dialog box, enter the number of rows you want to insert.
  4. Click Insert.

The new rows will be inserted below the selected row.

To insert multiple rows at a specific location, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the row number where you want to insert the new rows.
  2. Click Insert > Rows.
  3. In the Insert rows dialog box, enter the number of rows you want to insert.
  4. Click Insert.

The new rows will be inserted at the specified location.

Additional tips for inserting rows in Google Sheets:

  • You can also insert rows by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + +.
  • To insert a single row, you can also click Insert > Rows and then click 1 row in the Insert rows dialog box.
